“One thousand three hundred thirty-nine” is an animated data representation that documents the 1339 cases of violence against journalists that were recorded between December 2012 and December 2016 in Mexico.
Dance me! It is a multimedia-interactive show that combines animation, free software and live music.
Dance me! It is also a thermometer or device for displaying information about communities, territories and population sectors.
Dance me! It is a space for didactics and shared reflection through the animated image: from a workshop, the iconographic material necessary for the realization of the final show is carried out collectively.
The show, whose title is Long Live Supernatural, arises from an investigation about the live assembly of foreign visual fragments that, recombined, propose a version of the history of experimental animation, a real-time poetic visual essay.
